This souvenir spoon is from Barkerville, BC in Canada. Barkerville is a restored ghost town in northern BC. It is rhodium plate I believe and tarnish proof. It has a slender beaded stem topped by a painted porcelain shield of an abandoned country chapel.
The spoon is 4.5 inches long and in great as new condition.
Barkerville was founded in 1862 after Billy Barker discovered gold there the year before and was instrumental in developing British Columbia and its eventual entry into the Confederation of Canada. It is open to visitors year round and offers 100 restored buildings to explore.
