This Reno, Nevada souvenir plate brags that is it the biggest little city in the world and, at the time this plate was made, the only state where gambling was legal.
Gambling was legalized in 1931 and that plus the easy divorce laws made Reno a very popular place.
The graphic on this place indicates this was made in the 1940s. It is heavily decorated with gold. The border has gold lace printed on top of the gold band. There is some wear to the gold and one flake missing from the very edge (see photo). Otherwise it is in very good condition.
The plate is 7 3/8 inches in diameter.
