This souvenir spoon from Montevideo has a relief emblem in the bowl, an ornate stem and is capped with a figural depiction of what looks like a city hall with palm trees, and is identified only as Montevideo. In the bowl is a relief of a covered wagon pulled by a yoke of oxen. A man on horseback wielding a very long lance rides alongside.
On the back is marked, Silver plated made in Holland, and a shield that bears the letters W E. This spoon is 5 inches long. Condition is very good vintage.
