This medal badge consists of a tri-color ribbon with a gold tone medallion with a large turkey on it. The pin states 1st Turkey Trot--1976 Ramstein Air Base. Has a safety pin C clasp on the back. Great condition but
I haven't a clue what a turkey trot is. Does one race turkeys or run like a turkey? According to Wikipedia it is a fun race traditionally run on or near Thanksgiving. Obviously it was not a tradition any place I've lived.
