Biggar is a town of 2033 (2006 census) citizens in Saskatchewan, Canada. It is best known for its heritage railway station, being the hometown of 1998 Olympic gold medalist, Sandra Schmirler, and their infamous motto, New York is big but this is Biggar.
The pin is gold tone metal with colored enamel and is for a 1980 homecoming. It is 1.25 inches in diameter and has safety clasp on back. It is in perfect condition.
