This is a still colorful souvenir tea towel from Ayers Rock in Central Australia. It is dominated by the mysterious rock and shows a diagram of the surrounding area showing various amenities. At the bottom is a kangaroo and the border is aboriginal tools and weapons.
The towel has had considerable use and is all high quality linen. There are some light stains near the kangaroo that are probably cooking oil stains and thus blend into the sandy color. It has one hole near the very corner that looks deliberate like the previous owner wanted to hang it on a hook. Still a nice towel.
It measures 18 x 27 inches
Never limit souvenir tea towels to the kitchen. They frame beautifully as posters, serve as gift wrap, cushion covers and other novel ideas.
